Changing the Guard

We interrupt your regularly scheduled weekly guild programming for some news on the leadership front.

Staff meeting everybody!
Staff meeting everybody!

Over the next few weeks we will be transitioning leadership in the Anvil raid as Seul moves to reclaim some much needed time for his real life schedule.  The schedule and pace of raids should remain unaffected, with our team still working on Gorefiend in Normal and spending left over time on Heroic Foundry.

Those of you who have been with us over the years from Molten Core and classic 40 man raiding, through Icecrown and to the present know that one of the foundational values of both the guild itself as well as our cooperative Horde raiding and PvP efforts has always been sustainability.  We believe that you haven’t built something great unless it can survive change – and 10 years of World of Warcraft has definitely brought us buckets and buckets of that.  Whether it was moving from 40 man to 25 man, handing the Anvil hat off to Gharr and Pill in BC, Ebon’s stewardship of the guild in Cata, Megeta’s raid leadership in MoP or Seul’s excellent management of our efforts to date in Warlords we have always striven to recruit, equip and support great leadership in all that we do.

We want to thank Seul for his outstanding devotion to the raid in spite of some huge schedule challenges and a very busy real life.  He has been excellent in every sense of the word and his calm, cool and collected presence has helped keep our raid environment fun and relaxed while still bringing a strong work ethic to our efforts.  The result has been a thriving community experience and successful progression through new content – providing access not just for members of the Thundering Hammer Clan but also for friends and allies both on Feathermoon and beyond.  That spirit has always been at the heart of what we do and as a guild and a leadership team we could not be more proud and thankful of all that he has done for the raid and for our guild.

Thank you Seul, and best wishes in all your WoW and real life endeavors.

In the mean time this obviously means that we will be looking for people to help pick up the slack with the administrative tasks involved in the management of our raid efforts.  If you’re interested in handling logs, loot distribution, fight explanations, roster management or general cat herding contact Thorgrun directly in game and let us know!

For our ancestors,

For the Clan,

FOR THE HORDE!
